X-Rays help assess your pet’s bones and organs for issues or diseases so they can be treated appropriately.

 

Ultrasounds and other diagnostic tools provide the most accurate diagnosis possible of your pet’s medical issues and allows for the best treatment to be prescribed.

 

Ultrasound scans allow the veterinarian to better analyse and differentiate soft tissue masses from foreign bodies or fluid – a digital x-ray may be difficult to achieve this.

 

Conditions where an Ultrasound is necessary

  1. Heart Conditions
  2. Abnormal Blood or Urine Test Results
  3. Examination of Soft Tissues such as ligaments, eyes, fetal viability, tendons or thyroid glands.
